Maybe, depending on the interest and feedback of the community (i.e. you

The code is very young and needs reviewing and testing. Also some basic
stuff is still missing (reflection, serialization, integration with
IntVars) and it will eventually need to get ported to Gecode 3.0.

So please if you want to use it, go ahead. The only thing you need is to
build a custom "floatvar-enabled" version of Gecode (the changes to
Gecode itself are minimal, see the patchfile). The floatvar
implementation itself is header-only (like most of Boost is). Don't
hesistate to ask for help with that.

We agreed with Christian that once the code quality is good enough, we
will make it an official extension (and eventually integrate it fully in
Gecode).
